Cookie notice

Version 1.0 · Last updated 30 June 2026

This notice explains how Yenlio, provided by Nursery Room Ltd trading as Yenlio, uses cookies and similar technologies. It sits alongside our Privacy notice, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

We use cookies and similar technologies sparingly — only what's needed to keep Yenlio working, secure and reliable. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not carry out behavioural advertising to children.

This notice is framed around UK law: the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) — as updated by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 — and the UK GDPR.

What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website or app stores on your device so it can be read back later. We also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage and session storage, which let the app remember small pieces of information between or during visits.

Throughout this notice, "cookies" is used as a shorthand that also covers these similar technologies.

Strictly-necessary cookies and storage

These are essential for Yenlio to function. They are used to:

  • Sign you in and keep you signed in — maintaining your authenticated session.
  • Protect your account and our service — for example session and CSRF (cross-site request forgery) protection, and edge security checks that help block abuse and fraudulent traffic.
  • Operate core features — remembering essential state needed for the app to work correctly during your session.

Under PECR these strictly-necessary cookies do not require your consent, because they are required to provide the service you have asked for. If you block them, Yenlio's login and security features may not work and parts of the service may break.

Preference cookies and settings

These remember choices you make so you don't have to set them again, for example:

  • Your language preference.
  • Display preferences, such as layout or accessibility choices.

These are limited to remembering your settings and are not used to track you across other websites.

Analytics and error monitoring

We keep monitoring to what's needed for reliability and security, and only where enabled:

  • Error monitoring and diagnostics — for example we use Sentry to capture errors and technical diagnostics so we can find and fix problems. This helps us keep the service stable and secure.
  • Analytics — only where enabled, and limited to understanding how the service is performing.

We do not use these for cross-site advertising tracking, and we do not build advertising profiles.

No advertising cookies

Yenlio does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. If we ever introduce anything of this kind in future, we will update this notice and seek your consent where the law requires it, with appropriate notice beforehand.

How to control cookies

You can manage or delete cookies and clear stored data using your browser or device settings. Most browsers also let you block cookies or warn you before one is set.

Please note that blocking strictly-necessary cookies may stop you logging in, weaken security protections, or otherwise break parts of Yenlio.
